Meet Eric Tuck

Dear Neighbour,

I am a lifelong resident of Hamilton, and I’ve lived in Ward 4 for more than 40 years where I’ve been a community leader and advocate for families. I’ve spent 34 years as a transit operator for HSR – driving the Delaware, Barton, Parkdale, Cannon, and King Street lines – serving the people of our neighbourhood and gaining a deep understanding of these roads, our community, and the issues we face together. My time as a leader fighting for working families as President of ATU Local 107 has given me a track record as a proven negotiator who can tackle tough issues and get things done for others. Now I’m ready to get things done for Ward 4.

I believe in giving back to the city that has done so much for me, my children, and my grandchildren. I am running to be your City Councillor because I have a vision for Ward 4 and for Hamilton where everyone has an opportunity for a brighter future – a more equitable community where all members are supported to thrive and where we look out for our neighbours and future generations. As Hamilton continues to go through historic transformation, with LRT and other major projects shaping the future of our city, Ward 4 deserves a representative who will ensure that all Hamiltonians share in the benefits of that growth.

I want to ensure this project creates economic opportunities for generations to come by leveraging this opportunity to deliver community benefits such as affordable housing, support for local suppliers, and good fair wage union jobs. Join me in building a kinder, more compassionate, and inclusive community.
